RESIDENTIAL
A contemporary villa with Vastu-aligned planning
The Story
he client came with a clear mandate: a modern home that respects Vastu principles without compromise. We treated this not as a constraint but as a design generator.
The plan orients the entrance to the north-east, positions the kitchen in the south-east, and places the master suite in the south-west — all canonical Vastu prescriptions. But the architecture itself is unabashedly contemporary: clean volumes, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and a cantilevered first floor that creates a deep shaded verandah.
The interiors use a restrained palette — Italian marble flooring, walnut veneer panelling, and polished concrete ceilings that anchor the warmth of the timber and stone. A double-height family room serves as the social heart, flooded with north light through a clerestory window.
The project was delivered turnkey — from architectural design through interior fit-out and landscape — in eighteen months.
