A dental practice designed to feel like home
The Story
ost dental clinics are designed to be efficient. We were asked to design one that would be calming. The client, a young dentist, wanted patients to feel they were entering a well-designed home, not a medical facility.
The plan organises three treatment rooms along a gently curving corridor lit by concealed cove lighting. The reception area features an arched niche in exposed brick, a hand-tufted rug, and a curated bookshelf — elements borrowed from residential design.
Materials were chosen for their warmth: engineered oak flooring, limewashed walls, and a palette of sage green and off-white. Clinical requirements — sterilisation, ventilation, equipment routing — are embedded invisibly behind the residential finish.
The clinic has since become one of the most photographed interiors in Meerut's medical community.
