RESIDENTIAL
A contemporary three-storey residence in Meerut
The Story
he site sits within a contemporary residential pocket of Meerut, with neighbours close on either side. Our task was to build a home that would feel calm and inward-looking from the street, then open up into a bright, sociable interior across three floors.
The exterior reads as three deliberate volumes — a stone-clad chimney column on the lower-left anchors the entrance; a brass-toned balcony band wraps the first floor; a planted terrace caps the third. Concealed cove lighting at every soffit makes the house glow gently after sundown rather than spotlighting it.
Inside, the plan organises around a double-height entrance void. A bubble-chandelier descends through the void, lit from a coffered ceiling above. White Italian marble flooring runs through every room, threaded with walnut wall panelling and rough black-stone accent walls in the lounge. Backlit shelving niches in the family room and a fluted-walnut feature wall in the upper hallway provide warmth without ornament.
A traditional puja room — wood-panelled, with the Gayatri Mantra hand-applied to the rear wall in brass — sits behind glass-and-metal pocket doors, integrated into the plan as a quiet first room one passes on entry.
The bedrooms layer marble feature walls, padded velvet headboards, and warm cove ceiling pockets. The master bath, dressing, and a private terrace all open off the master suite on the second floor.
The home was delivered turnkey — architecture, interiors, MEP, and finishing — by our in-house team.
